Attention High School Graduating Class from Silicon Valley!

PPBS is awarding a one-time scholarship award to college bound and qualified high school graduating students during the year.

SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility

1. A graduating high school senior student of Filipino ancestry.
2. Must have been accepted or have applied at an accredited four year college or university.
3. Must attend the PPBS Scholarship Awards Dinner-Dance Event, which is held in October or November.
4. Completed Scholarship Application Packet must be received on or before the 3rd Friday of June of each school year.
5. Must have at least a 3.50 GPA by the end of the 3^rd quarter of the school year.

Qualifications

1. Should have evidence of scholarship ability.
2. Should show general promise and past achievement.
3. Having another scholarship should not prevent the award of this scholarship, if sufficient need is shown.

Awards

• $5,000 is proportionately awarded to the top 7 applicants based on their ranking after the Scholarship Committee has evaluated all the applicants.
• A Plaque of Scholastic Achievement is given to each awardee at the PPBS Scholarship Awards Dinner-Dance Event.  Recipient must be present to receive the award and the grant.

Procedure of Application

Submit the following Application Packet by 3rd Friday of June to PPBS Scholarship Committee:

1. Completed Application Form
2. Two (2) Statements of Reference
3. Official High School Transcript of Records

As part of the selection process, the Scholarship Committee may request personal interview with the applicants.
